m.twitter.com updates
We made a few enhancements to m.twitter.com yesterday. Now you can check a box and have the site remember you (so you don't have to sign in again). Also, we now display ten updates on a page instead of five. If things aren't working perfectly on your mobile browser, please do let us know what phone and/or browser you're using when you contact support.

How about getting a working, stable infrastructure before rolling out new updates? The whole system has been severely hosed all morning...
The site has been down basically all day. What's going on?
We found a bug that popped up in the last 24 hours which slowed the Twitter web site down or prevented access for some folks today. We're in there right now chasing it down and working on fixing it.
Are Tweets being archived?
Yes, Twitter updates are saved even if the is acting wonky.
Too bad about Twitter's performance problems today. I was actually going to email Jeff Zucker, Tim Russert and Beth Comstock this blog post about big media empowering their employees to champion the brand using social media tools like Twitter. Fortunately for me, I didn't email the post. Those folks don't impress easily.
Today had great Twitter potential, I told John Edwards I was his twitter friend after listening to him speak before the machinists union. My tweets may have gotten through but I can't tell. Twitter is GREAT when it works.

Lost of people over here are switching to jaiku thanks to Twitter not working. It works great now, please keep up!
Why can't you click links in tweets via m.twitter?? That would make this service so much better..I actually use Google mobile reader instead of twitter so I can click on tinyurl etc...

it comes up '503 not found'
I know it's up on the web.
I can surf the web on my Verizon cell phone, but not to m.twitter.com
what am I doing wrong.

At the end of a page instead of just older and newer, is it possible to get "previous 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 next" type of thing.
Reason being is if I'm on page 4, and decide to tweet, it takes me to the front page again. Then I have to click through 4 pages to get to where I left off. Instead all I would have to do is click page 4.
