iPhones at Twitter HQ
As you might imagine, there are lots of expenses associated with employees--salary, health insurance, etc. In the grand scheme of things, buying 10 employees a fancy new iPhone is not a gigantic expense. However, arriving at the office on a normal weekday and discovering a brand new iPhone waiting for you feels like an extra fancy perk. Speaking of iPhones, pockettweets.com is a cool web site designed specifically for the latest apple gadget.

Coming from a large corporation (300+ employees) where we had to fight to get approval to take the development team to a movie once a quarter, this is a pretty awesome perk indeed.
I so miss working for a company that cares about its employees. You guys rock!!!

U Guys are so lucky! After a very successful year (2006) with sales up 43%, we found pink slips instead of iPhones. Apparently we got downsized to maximize the quarterly report so someone in Connecticut could maximize his Spring bonus. I am so [span style="color: green;"]GREEN[/span] with envy! And boy do I miss the cubemates. Sigh. Well, congrats anyhow and enjoy! :)

Hey! Just like the good old dayz! I'll never forget my first factory job. My father-in-law (great guy who ran a machine, RIP) told me I would love it there ... and I did. Six months later the Christmas bonus checks came out and I got over $750 (good money in 1976 for a technician). But my father-in-law, with 30+ years in, took his check and bought a new Pontiac! Now that's a decent bonus, eh!
