Twitter and Gmail

Who from your Gmail address book is already on Twitter? You might be surprised when you try out our newest feature. Fred tried it and found some new people to follow. Duncan checked it out too. There's no time like the present, so try the new Gmail thingy we made!

Couldn't get it to work, although I'm positive username and password are correct.

Are you sure the password field isn't filtering out symbols, etc? I have an insanely complex gmail password, and this feature won't login properly.

Hey, friends, what about creating twitter communities? Something that would work as team profiles, with collaboration from all members... like Flickr communities?

Have any of you heard of thesqueakywheel.com? Well, they are a relentless spam and harrassment website that thinks they are above the law. Here is an interesting article on this that exposes their relentless spamming: thesqueakywheel.com and its relentless spamming

Ryan,

Yes, this is a concern. Our own Blaine Cook addressed this in the post you linked to: http://www.venturecake.com/no-im-not-giving-you-my-google-password/#comment-1685

I don't think it is a good idea at all!

I'm not sure if I'm fond of this Gmail feature. I trust you guys from Twitter, but these fill in your email and password are becoming more common. How about this being very SPAM like ... ?

Then again not sure if this is your fault or that Google's API's allow this sort of thing. Still find it dodgy.
