I've enjoyed it in the past, but I have a prepaid phone from TMobile, who blacklist all short codes, it seems, and the non-short-code number keeps dropping out.
I use a Sprint Mogul, but what isnt clear to me is whether or not the notifications are supposed to stop by themselves when i login to gmail. they still go to my phone. So i just send ON and OFF commands
Depending on what mood I'm in... - SMS - iTweet.net - Hahlo (recently started using this) - sometimes m.twitter.com - TwitterMail.com (rarealy use that now)
I'm from Chile. I'm receiving SMSs from updates of some friends, but it's too expensive for me to update via SMS since it's an international message (5 times the cost of a national message). And now that we're on the subject, the I receive the messages with a lot of lag, even days sometimes... my mobile company's or your fault, guys?
I tweet updates from a phone that looks similar to the pink one with white stars, except that it's not pink with white stars. I no longer get updates via the phone bcuz of the cost and interruptions. I mainly use Tweetbar and the RSS feed in Google Reader to get my updates.
I am twittering with my htc S 620 using either 'cellity tweeter' or 'm.twitter.com'. Having a data plan that allows 5 MB/month. Don't know how many tweets that would be ;-)
Strange question since we're talking about SMS...would think any phone with SMS would work.
But for the record: Windows Mobile Smartphones and PocketPCs I have used with Twitter work fine including: Cingular SMT-5600 i-mate SP5 i-mate SP5m Cingular 2125 Cingular 3125 Cingular 8125 HTC Touch Cinglar Blackjack
I am so addicted to Twitter. I use SMS most of the time but I use the mobile page pretty frequently as well. And I do this all on my T-Mobile Dash. Keep up the good work you guys.
Don't know what the difference between phones could be when msging via SMS. It's more a provider-issue I think. Most notifications are delayed about 30 minutes for me. BTW I am using either a Nokia 6131, Siemens M55 or a Motorola A925 (but no SIM at the moment for this one).
In Australia, I tweet from my Nokia E65 using m.twitter.com on Three's 1Gb data plan. Most excellent solution, with the exception of direct messages which are invisible on m.twitter... So far I haven't had to fall back to SMS at all.
My Samsung U600 Twitters like a charm, but it's kinda expensive for me to text a UK number from India, so I simply login to m.twitter.com and update. :)
it used to work for me but doesn't anymore. i think it's a bug. it's been over a month since i've successfully tweeted from my phone, which is a sony ericsson k790a.
SE Z710i here, I use m.twitter.com exclusively. My friend in the US complains about priceplans and programs from his provider. I have no such problems here, paying about 0.6 Euro per MB. And a meg is a LOT of tweets!
The iPhone with sms now but i use to be the Sony Ericsson w810i with sms and it worked ok. The iPhone sms is great! I made a twitter contact and it is like a great little conversations on there!

I love using my iphone. I guess it’s because I’m a huge music fan. The LG imitation for comparable networks is a joke. Not even close guys!!!
