Where's the 'Older' Link?
Some folks have noticed that the 'older' link is missing at the bottom of the timeline—this is not a permanent change. We had to take it out yesterday during a kind of bot-storm because it was negatively affecting site performance during this unusual activity. We're going to get it back in there asap. (We know some people like to catch up on the Web).

Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Our company was having issues yesterday too which made twitter even more crazy but I still hung in there. I like to catch up so I'm glad to hear I'll still be able to do that!!
Can catchup with old tweets through beta.bloglines.com if you have subscribed it earlier.
I thought it is a new way to simplify life for everyone. Provide a single page window perhaps with a user configurable number of tweets in the first( only) page. Archive access will be through a totally different versatile interface. Segregating present from the past and providing different interface will turn out to be good for both users and for performance.

"Some folks have noticed" is an understatement. There was a feeling that some of my twitter peeps were about to go storm twitter HQ & take Biz hostage till the bird coughed up the button!

am I the only one who has been getting a continual "500 Error" for the last 3 days on the site?

That wasn't a problem for me, at least when I was on Twitter. With Opera, I just used fast forward (right click menu) to get to page 2. From there I could edit the URL to whatever page I wanted.
Actually, it's quite easy to go back in time on Twitter using fast forward. My only complaint is that it will only get you as far as page 11, because only the first ten pages usually show the Older button.
It would be a lot easier for me if the later pages also showed the older button, since right-clicking for fast forward is really quick, and from the 125 I'm following, there's usually 20-25 pages of updates every day!

But could you PLEASE put lists of other people back in alphabetical order please?
There's no explanation at all of why this changed to what appears to user id order - which is meaningless to anyone except the earliest of adopters.
