Twitter in Japan

Despite the fact that Twitter is in English, we continue to see exciting growth from all over the world. Japan, in particular shows a very strong and growing demand for Twitter services. Movatwitter and Twitterpod are great examples.

To support continued growth in Japan, Twitter has formed a partnership with Digital Garage to create the official Twitter Japan service. As part of this arrangement, Digital Garage has made an investment in Twitter, Inc and will commit engineering and other development resources to help us bring Twitter to Japan.

We're really excited about Twitter Japan because it's a big step towards our goal of becoming a worldwide communication network. We'll have more news for you about Twitter Japan and Twitter in other parts of the world as we make progress.

should not the current issue of supporting current 'x' users to utilize the service with low problems be the first priority? you think MacWorld SF '08 got you stuck in the middle of the ocean. sad to say, but the staff at Twitter might as well close-up shop now.

We're internationally minded as well, and really like your world-wide approach!

这是一个很明智的选择。日本市场有大量的3G手机用户。肯定会成功的。好运!

Breaking the Japanese market is hard for any company .. whether it is online or offline. Hope to try that with my website later this year!

I was amazed at the Twitter books on display at the bookstore in Nagoya, teaching people what its about and how to use it.

Really excited about this development here in Japan. Have used it here since April 2007 using MovaTwitter (otherwise the usual m.twitter.com just doesn't work with my DoCoMo phone).

Ganbatte Twitter and Digital Garage!

I always see a lot of tweets coming from Japan while viewing Twittervision. It would be nice to have an auto-translator though, or maybe I just need to learn Japanese.

Please include the company Wilcom! Wilcom is a smaller company so it always gets shafted on mobile services. Thanks.
