Office Improvements

We're fortunate in that we have an excellent architect with an office next to ours so we're having lots of improvements done to our space over the next few weeks. The first change was new carpeting and big, custom-built tables. Lots more to do!

I guess that means you guys won't have to communicate in 140 characters or less across an office anymore. Now you'll have to have good ol' face-to-face conversations in 140 characters or less! :P

I have enough issues working in a cubicle with noise coming from other people. I'd probably go completely batty if I were working at a long table.

Oh well, such is "progress" - I feel old now. ("Yes, grandkids, back when I worked we had walls between us! and they were five feet tall! And they had phones that were tethered to the wall! And we liked it!")

I did see a picture somewhere of your discarded carpet, so I guess the new carpeting is a plus.

Is this the old ODEO space? If so, I was there several years ago trying to put something together with Penn State.

Fellas,

really like the look of the place. i work in a similar looking space, though we have stuck our tables to the wall on one side.
Look forward to more pics.

Cheers.

maybe it's the high ceilings, but my first thought was "It looks like a prison". It seems.. lacking in privacy, and heavy on distractions

I think it's great. Cubicles offer more privacy, however that leads to the temptation of wasting time(emails, IMs, web surfing, etc.)
