Setting Up A Workstation for Twitter's Newest Engineer

Andrew Lorek comes to Twitter from BEA Systems, Inc where he worked as a senior software engineer doing both interaction design and engineering implementation. Andrew will join us on July 7th as an Engineer mostly focused on front-end, user facing work. Welcome, Andrew!

Wait, so Twitter is being developed on a MacBook Air?

I hope you guys don't use MacBook Air's for your servers... that would explain the scalability issues ;)

Looks like a macbook air. Had been to the RailsConf recently and companies giving away free mac airs were a big hit. Whats the big deal? :)

Real developers don't work on Macs.

Unless his job is to create pretty pictures and make the office nicer so all of the other developers work harder.
