The Gray Lady Is All A-Twitter

The New York Times has been on a Twitter tear lately. They've got a good collection of accounts that make for some nice variety. Some of the accounts are written straight-up by writers, editors, and bloggers at the Times and others deliver just the Section Headlines. Here's the complete collection if you want to add a little NYT to your Twitter timeline.

love it. Here's a feature request you've likely heard already but I'll pile onto the suggestion pile:

Allow me to classify people I follow into categories, so I can put all of my news feeds into a "News" category, or all of my close friends into a "Super Friends" category.

Then I can easily browse through various groupings without personal stuff getting lost in the clutter/noise of my main feed.

Keep up the awesome work, Twitterers!

Great to see a paper like the NYT getting behind Twitter. The likes of the Guardian are making full use of the service in the UK, but so much of the traditional media - TV, radio, press - seem ignorant to it.

Hopefully time will change that!

@don Martelli, you can find a full list of Los Angeles Times Twitter feeds and accounts at the bottom of latimes.com/rss

Most LAT feeds just auto-syndicate headlines at this juncture, but in Travel we broadcast our blog headlines and interact frequently with readers. Please let us know what you think of the feeds.

don: we're a similar outlet, and are actually able to get breaking news up faster via Twitter than our own site. Sicne we're a portal, however, we won;t be covering all news, all the time. we're mixing it up with items we find interesting on the network and beyond as we work on the site each day. MSNBC, CNN, others also doing this.

That's cool, but where is @Hitler? This video seems to indicate Hitler is BIG on Twitter :-)

"Obama didn't choose Clinton to run for Vice-President on Democratic ticket" - so Clinton supporters resent that - & John McCain is taking advantage of that resentment by taking votes away from Obama.
I strongly believe Hillary Clinton does not want to settle for second place.
Hillary doesn't want Barack Obama to win election. She wants McCain to get it. The country will be fed up by 2012 - so she will run and win Presidency.
