Debate night in America

Wednesday, 3 October 2012

Tonight in Denver, President Obama and Governor Romney will take the stage to face each other for 90 minutes in the first of three presidential debates for the 2012 election. The debate starts at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with Jim Lehrer moderating; tonight’s topic is domestic policy.

As each candidate prepares for this campaign milestone, Twitter brings you closer:

Whether you’re watching at home or on the go, you can see how the rest of the country is reacting on Twitter. We’ve launched twitter.com/#debates to give you an easy way to keep up with journalists, political pundits, campaign staffers, elected officials and other voters’ reactions to the candidates’ answers in real time.

Our team on the ground here in Denver will be tweeting out interesting data points that occur throughout the night. So keep an eye on @gov and we’ll see you tonight — on Twitter.
