Last year, @Audi made headlines by being one of the first brands to integrate a hashtag into its Super Bowl commercial. This year, savvy marketers took notice — one in five brands included a hashtag to drive conversations on Twitter.

To extend the life of this year’s Super Bowl brand moments, we launched the first Twitter Ad Scrimmage. The inaugural winner is Samsung’s Galaxy Note commercial, which features the crowd-pleasing song “A Thing Called Love.” Congratulations, Samsung! You’ve earned ultimate Twitter bragging rights.

@SamsungMobileUs made strategic use of both Promoted Tweets in timelines, and in search results to promote its branded hashtag, #VoteForNote. The brand also continuously promoted new Tweet content to drive users to the Ad Scrimmage.

Rounding out the top five are: The Disney Avengers trailer from @Avengers, “David Beckham” from @hmusa, “Just My Shell” from @mmsbrown, and “A Dream Car for Real Life” from @Kia
