The blue bird has become symbolic of our product and our company. You can find the bird in so many places now — on twitter.com, on mobile phones or tablets, across countless applications and sites that have integrated with the Twitter platform. As Twitter continues to evolve, we think this is the right time to revise the bird.
For developers, this change means anywhere you’re currently displaying a Twitter logo to indicate a Twitter integration, it’s time to update that image. There is no longer a need for other logos that include text, bubbled typefaces, or a lowercase “t” to represent your Twitter integration. This new #Twitterbird will be the universally recognizable symbol of Twitter. In addition to the revised logo, we’re updating our Display Guidelines for how Tweets are rendered. There are different contexts in which Tweets are shown: sometimes in isolation, within a timeline, and so on. This updated set of Display Guidelines illustrates how a Tweet should appear within these contexts. If you’re displaying Tweets on your site or in your application, please take a moment to read through these updated guidelines to ensure that you’re rendering Tweets accordingly, and using the new bird. It’s important to display the new mark for a consistent experience wherever a user interacts with Twitter content.
