@Lollapalooza celebrated its 10th anniversary this past weekend in Chicago where @Rihanna and @Eminem gave us the most-tweeted moment of the festival.

As a preview for the two stars’ “Monster Tour” that kicks off in Los Angeles on August 7, Rihanna surprised @Lollapalooza participants by rising from the stage to sing with Eminem. The pair performed duets of “Monster,” “Love the Way You Lie” and “Stan” for a thrilled audience. Music fans around the world got to watch Lollapalooza unfold through Tweets and Vine videos shared by performers. The photos Rihanna and Eminem posted to Twitter garnered over 26,000 retweets.

Friday’s standout performances also included @ArcticMonkeys, Lorde (@Lordemusic) and @Zedd.

@Lollapalooza’s Twitter account took full advantage of GIFs to update festival goers in real time about the weather and get everyone excited about upcoming performers.
