Twitter buzz ahead of the 2015 #VMAs

Friday, 28 August 2015

The @MTV Video Music Awards is one of the most talked about events on Twitter, and this year will be no different. Music fans, nominees, and stars are already buzzing with anticipation for Sunday’s show.

To help share the excitement, MTV and Twitter created an exclusive emoji version of the new 2015 MTV Video Music Award Moonman, designed by world-renowned fashion designer Jeremy Scott (@ItsJeremyScott). Tweets containing #VMAS or #VMA will unlock the custom icon to appear at the end of the hashtag.

The Moonman emoji has made an appearance in thousands of Tweets already, including those from host @MileyCyrus and @ItsJeremyScott.
