Twitter developer events: April 2015

Thursday, 2 April 2015

Our Developer and Platform Relations (DPR) team had a busy Q1 and we’re ready to welcome what’s shaping up to be a great Q2. You can track our April travels through our events page and by following @TwitterDev.

Pycon (Montreal, Canada): April 8-16
Jacob Petrie and members of our Gnip Team (Brian Lehman and Jeff Kolb) will be at Pycon attending various talks. The team will also be hosting TwitterDev office hours at the Notman House on Friday, March 10th from 5:30-7:30pm.

Fabric Event at TheFamily (Paris, France): April 8
We are partnering with TheFamily to host a special event on Fabric, our mobile platform. Developer Advocate Romain Huet will introduce Fabric and explain how to build the best mobile apps. Attendees will also be able to learn how to monetize with Yves Bourgoin from MoPub and how to promote their apps on Twitter with a talk from Stan Massueras. Join us in Paris and meet the team!

Bitcamp (College Park, Maryland): April 10-12
@TwitterDev is excited to be a sponsor of Bitcamp this year, a 36 hour adventure of hackers and innovators. Ryan Choi will be there answering questions and giving out our prize to the best integration of Twitter and/or Fabric. Build away, campers!

Hack Princeton (Princeton, New Jersey): April 11-12
Developer Advocate Jon Bulava will be returning to his alma mater to represent Twitter Dev at our second Hack Princeton, a hackathon for discovering, building and sharing on the east coast. Build with Twitter and/or Fabric, and chat with Jon about your ideas.

Alagoas Dev Day 2015 (Alagoas, Brazil ): April 18
Developer Advocate Luis Cipriani will be showing developers how to connect with the pulse of planet with Streaming APIs at Dev Day Alagoas, Brazil.

HackRU (New Brunswick, New Jersey): April 18-19
Jon Bulava is busy this month attending HackRU for 24 hours of non-stop hacking. This is New Jersey’s largest hackathon, and we can’t wait to be a part of it. As always, build with Twitter and/or Fabric and you just might go home with a prize from our team.

Twitter for Research (Lyon, France): April 22-24
We will be participating in the first Twitter for Research Conference in Lyon, organized by the EMLyon Business School. The three-day event will highlight different aspects of Twitter and provide content for developers, businesses, and researchers.

On the 22nd, join us for a meetup to talk Fabric with Romain Huet and the team.

On the 24th, Dr. Jeff Kolb will be presenting at the research conference about how we explore Twitter data using modern data analysis techniques.

APIDays Berlin and APIStrat Europe (Berlin, Germany): April 24-25
Romain Huet is excited to speak again at APIDays and APIStrat, the two events joining forces for this special edition in Berlin. He will talk about identity and how we are reinventing identity and social graphs with Digits. Romain will also participate in the SpeedHack and bring a Fabric challenge for developers with some cool prizes to win!

Do you know of an event where the Twitter DPR team should be this year?

If so, please contact me, Lauren Schutte, with the details. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
