Explore links in Moments

Wednesday, 9 March 2016

Last year, we launched Moments to provide a new way to tell stories on Twitter. Since then, partners and our curation team have created incredible Moments using Tweets with photos, videos, Vines, polls, and more. Now, we’re making it easier for people to explore links within Moments on iOS and Android.

You can tap a link to a news article, blog, recipe, and more — directly from a Moment. When you’re done browsing, simply click out and jump back into the Moment where you’ve left off.

People can now dive deeper into publisher content found in Moments, and publishers can continue telling their stories on their own websites, all while also accessing Twitter’s global audience. This expands possibilities for storytelling on Twitter, while providing more context for people.

Additionally, as part of our efforts to ensure that links load as quickly as possible, we collaborated with publishers and industry leaders to launch the AMP project, a new open source initiative to help publishers make incredibly fast mobile websites. Beginning with Moments, we will display the AMP versions of news articles when available.

Check out Moments like “What you need to know Wednesday” or “Six stories for your commute” to start exploring this new experience. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest Twitter for iOS or Android.

(And just like before, you can still click on links from Moments on twitter.com.)
