Twitter developer events: March 2015

Saturday, 28 February 2015

Our Developer and Platform Relations (DPR) team has had a busy past two months, and we have even more events coming your way in March. You can track our travels through our events page as well as by following @TwitterDev.

Launch Hackathon (San Francisco, CA): Feb. 27-March 1
We’re excited to be sponsors of this fun, innovative hackathon. Jon Cipirano, Piyush Kumar, and Ryan Choi will be there to answer any questions you have and help you build the best app leveraging our Twitter APIs and/or Fabric.

Social Data Meetup (Boston, MA): March 2
Stephen Morse from our Gnip team will be chatting about social data and analytics in the financial industry.

Mobile World Congress (Barcelona, Spain): March 2-4
Our VP of Data Strategy Chris Moody will take the stage on March 2 to share all the latest methods for personalizing the customer experience. Learn how companies use Twitter data to measure consumer and brand sentiment, and focus support teams on customer service problems quickly when opportunities arise.

During the evening of March 2, our developer advocates Romain Huet, Andy Piper, and Gareth Paul Jones will be joining API Meetup Barcelona to talk about Fabric with the local developer community. The event is sold out, but you can join the waitlist here.

On March 3, Developer Advocate Romain Huet will present a talk on “Building the Best Mobile Apps with Fabric” at Mobile World Congress. His talk is one in a three-part series about building successful mobile apps with Twitter and Fabric, also featuring presentations about driving user growth and app engagement with Twitter with mobile specialists Sylvia Lam and Ross Sheil.

Game Developers Conference (San Francisco): March 4
Come join us at this year’s GDC for a session on Fabric and Gaming on Wednesday, March 4 in Room 2024 in West Hall. You’ll hear directly from the product teams building Fabric on how to leverage Fabric for your mobile games.

Twitter Flock - New York (New York City): March 11
We are hosting series of developer events in various locations around the world where you can learn more about Fabric and meet the team that built the platform. Join us for Twitter Flock New York, where Adam Bain, President of Global Revenue and Partnerships at Twitter, will be delivering the keynote. If you’re interested in attending, request a ticket here.

SXSW Interactive (Austin, Texas): March 15
Since Twitter data was used to pinpoint the spread of cholera in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, the use cases for Twitter data in humanitarian causes have multiplied. Data Scientist Dr. Skippy will speak to the possibilities of social data improving humanitarian efforts.

GigaOm Structure Data (New York, NY): March 19
Seth McGuire from our Gnip team will be participating in a panel to discuss how to really make use of Twitter’s big, fast data.

Is there an event the Twitter DPR team should be at in 2015?

If so, please contact me, Lauren Schutte, with the details of your event. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
