With the first brand campaigns already appearing after the launch of Periscope, we are seeing great additions to the kinds of creativity advertisers are showing on Twitter.

This month we present campaigns from the worlds of gaming, television and mobile as well as several brands that have tied their messages to the forthcoming general election.

  1. Ahead of Halo 5, @XboxUK launched a major campaign asking players to #HuntTheTruth. Fans of the first-person shooter were presented with a polling card and given the choice of hunting with one of two characters, including the series star, Master Chief. Voting unlocked one of two video clips and revealed the level of support for each character.

  2. March saw @SkyMovies became one of the first UK brands to use a Twitter configurator card. It asked film fans what their ultimate movie triple bill would be, based on a selection of titles. Taking part put users in with a chance to win a selection of Easter treats.

  3. Periscope has been the buzz of late, and @O2 became the first UK telecoms brand to use Twitter’s new live-streaming app as it streamed a demo of the new HTC One M9.
  4. To coincide with the all-party election debate breakfast, cereal brand @Shreddies posed its own big question: ‘How would you make the nation nicer?’
  5. 5. Staying with the election, @HSBC_UK followed Chancellor George Osborne’s #Budget2015 with a financial guide, giving Twitter users a chance to learn what this parliament’s final budget means for them.
  6. Using Twitter Video, @EE gave customers a detailed look at the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge handsets, previewing some of the new features buyers can expect.
  7. Ahead of the new season, BT Sport MotoGP (@btsportmotogp) promoted its televised race coverage. In a nerve-jangling spot, the company highlighted why the fastest sport on two wheels is not for everyone.
  8. @Argos_Online was in the giving spirit this Easter. Twitter users could win vouchers worth up to £100 in a simple RT or Tweet to enter in an attention-grabbing competition.
  9. Great work from @VirginTrains for its April Fools’ campaign announcing its new #FitnessCoach. The travel brand sent a series of well-thought-out Tweets, which also involved sister brand @VirginActiveWay.
  10. Our final campaign is from @Tesco, another one for April Fools’, delivered over a series of Tweets. Sadly, ‘Bouncy Aisles’ will not be in-store anytime soon.
