Authors around the world share #WhereIWrite live on Periscope

Thursday, 2 April 2015

Creative storytelling has always found a natural home on Twitter, and authors around the world enjoy using the platform to share ideas and connect with their readers. With Twitter’s new app, Periscope, people can get even closer — taking part in a live video broadcast from a writer who may be on the other side of the world.

Every day for the month of April, Hachette authors will be video broadcasting live from the place where they write - giving people a view into their creative space and reading from their current novel or a work in progress. To join in live, download the Periscope app on iOS and follow your favourite authors. Periscope will alert you when the authors are broadcasting live so you can tune in and take part. Use the hashtag #WhereIWrite to join the conversation on Twitter

“This series of live video broadcasts — and others we already have in the pipeline – will bring readers closer to their favourite authors — throwing light on lots of personal details about where, how and what they write. We are delighted to be in at the very beginning and look forward to working with Twitter as Periscope evolves.” — Damian Horner, Hachette’s Brand Development Director.

Huey Morgan author of “Huey Morgan’s Rebel Heroes: the Renegades of Music & Why We Still Need Them” kicks off the #WhereIWrite series today.
