NRL’s finest tie one on with Twitter at the Dally M awards

For the first time ever, the rugby league #DallyM Player of the Year Award has ended in a tie. In one of the most exciting counts ever, Jarryd Hayne (@jarrydhayne_1) and Johnathan Thurston both finished on 32 points to be awarded joint winners of the NRL’s biggest individual honour.

Here’s how the @NRL announced the historic result on Twitter:

It is Thurston’s third Dally M Player of the Year award it ensures his position as one of the game’s greatest ever players.
