Twitter brings you closer to the stars

Wednesday, 23 April 2014

On the television industry’s night of nights, the 2014 #TVWeekLogies, Twitter will launch Australia’s first use of the Vine 360 Booth, which will tweet six-second, 360-degree views of the stars through the TV Week Fashion Turn. @TVWeekmag will share behind-the-scenes video of the red carpet action in real-time on Twitter to viewers and fans across the country.

Fans can join in the action through their Twitter feeds, simply by following @TVWeekMag on Twitter, or the official #TVWeekLogies hashtag on the evening for a 360-degree view of their favourite television, movie and music stars.

Twitter and TV Week are partnering to bring the Vine 360 Booth innovation to Australia for the first time. According to TV Week’s editor, Emma Nolan, they are excited to use the Vine booth to showcase the TV Week Fashion Turn to millions of Twitter users in Australia. The TV Week Logie Awards bring together some of the world’s biggest stars and it’s the perfect way to share the glitz and glamour of the red carpet with TV Week’s valuable Twitter followers.

Fans around the globe turn to Twitter to experience red carpet events because of the real-time, conversational nature of the platform. Twitter’s Vine 360 Booth has been rolled out at some of the entertainment industry’s biggest events, including its first appearance at the American Music Awards last November, where stars including @KatyPerry and @RKelly were among the first to ever to use it.

This was followed by more appearances at the 2014 Golden Globes (@GoldenGlobes), Oscars (@TheAcademy) and People’s Choice Awards (@PeopleChoice).

Now for the first time, Australian fans can get a taste for themselves. The Vine 360 Booth at the #TVWeekLogies will give Aussies a red carpet experience in real time. Some of the music industry’s biggest names are performing at the #TVWeekLogies, including our home-grown Aussie superstar, @kylieminogue.

Be sure you’re following the stars to keep across the night’s standout moments:

All the action kicks off on the Nine Network (@Channel9) on Sunday, April 27th. Stay up to date with all things Logies by following @TVWeekMag or use the official hashtag #TVWeekLogies on Twitter.
