Twitter’s most inform NRL players line up for “Tweet of Origin”

It’s mate against mate, State against State this week as the 2014 #Origin series kicks off in Brisbane with NSW looking to thwart QLD’s attempts to win a ninth consecutive series.

And while the selected #Origin sides prepare to go to war, we’ve selected our own “Tweet of Origin” team based on the players’ latest Twitter form, a combination of follower and Tweet numbers, with a few bolters claiming a jersey in both sides.

@LoteTuqiri and @MartyKennedy89 are the biggest shocks, rocketing straight from reserve grade to a Maroons Tweet of Origin jersey based on their electric Twitter form.

Potentially surprise selection for the Blues included @bryceegibbs, @kgalloway85 and @D_LUSSICK, who will be hoping selectors take Twitter form into consideration if @NSWRL needs a boost heading into Game Two.

But still felt confident enough to break for a few cheeky pies:

The Blues have also been putting in the hard yards to try and break the streak, while still finding time to meet the local Coffs Harbour community and have a few laughs:
