Voting heats up on Twitter for the #ARIAS Best Australian Live Act

Two weeks ago, in an Australian awards show first, we shared that music fans would be able to vote for the Best Australian Live Act at the @ARIA_Official Awards, via Twitter. Since then, the Tweets have been flooding in from bands drumming up support and fans getting behind their favourite acts.

@wearesheppard fans are Tweeting nonstop, trying to give the Brisbane group the boost they need to win.

Aussie superstars @5SOS have taken matters into their own hands, issuing a shout-out for votes via video on Twitter.

And their fans responded with overwhelming support.

But is it enough to beat @TaylorSwift13’s pick for the win? T-Swift fans are rallying behind her support act, Australian @VanceJoy:

Fans of the Aussie indie music will be thrilled to know there are a few other acts giving @5SOS, @VanceJoy, and @wearesheppard a serious run for their money.

Courtney Barnett (@courtneymelba) racked up the most #ARIAS nominations this year, and her fans are hoping she will walk away with the Best Australian Live Act award.

As the competition heats up, some fans are even finding their allegiances tested, with these @5SOS fans giving their votes to @hilltophoods!
