If it happens in the world, it happens on Twitter.

Not even the #SydneyStorm could stop the biggest names in Aussie music from celebrating the #ARIAS on a star studded red carpet.

More than three- million viewers around the world tuned into the red carpet livestream on Twitter… showing support for their favourite singers and voting for the #BestInternationalArtist. Here’s what happened on Twitter after the rain clouds cleared and the stars came out 👇

There were more than 4 million Tweets about the ARIA Awards and nominees in the two weeks leading up to the show, with Tweets coming in from the USA, UK, Brazil, Russia, Italy and more.

The ARIA Awards might be Australian music’s night of nights, but fans all over the world tuned in to the Red Carpet broadcast with #ARIAs trending in 14 countries and nearly 150 cities around the world.  

#ARIAs trended in the number one spot in Australia for more than ten hours as music fans joined in the conversation about nominees and host, Keith Urban.

Camila Cabello took home the ARIA for Best International Artist, with her Twitter fandom (the Camilizers) voting up a storm.

Aussie darlings, 5 Seconds of Summer took home the ARIA for Best Group, and clearly won at Twitter, with more than  half a million Tweets about the group during the Red Carpet and Awards show.
