England legend, former captain and four times 6 Nations winner Will Carling (@WillCarling) will be hosting a series of exclusive Twitter commentaries and Q&As during the 6 Nations championships.

Carling, who earned 72 caps for his country from 1988-1996 and was England’s youngest ever captain, will bring his unique experience and insight to life on the platform over the next three weeks, starting this Friday, February 22.

Rugby fans on Twitter will have the chance to quiz Carling on his 6 Nations views and updates - from finding out what it feels like to lead a team onto the pitch, through to his predictions for this year’s championship.

Carling, who has already tweeted more than 20,000 times and whose followers include international players, pundits and fans from around the world, will also be sharing his unique insights as a former captain and businessman in the sports industry.

By live-tweeting during the England games, he will give his followers a unique insight into what it feels like to captain a national team in a major tournament.

To get involved Rugby fans should follow Carling on Twitter (@WillCarling), and submit questions by including the hashtag #AskCarling in their Tweets.

Pre-match Q&A with fans:
Carling will be answering pre-match questions at the following times:

  • Friday, February 22nd, 1pm-2pm, ahead of England’s clash with France
  • Friday, March 8th, 1pm-2pm, ahead of England’s clash with Italy
  • Friday, March 15th, 1pm-2pm, ahead of England’s clash with Wales

Matchday live-tweeting:

  • Saturday, February 23rd, England vs France, kick off 5pm
  • Sunday, March 10th, England vs Italy, kick off 3pm

Following each match, Carling will answer questions from fans, reviewing every tackle and try from the weekend’s action. These will take place at the following times:

  • Monday, February 25th, 12.30pm to 1.30pm
  • Monday, March 11th, 12.30pm to 1.30pm
  • Monday, March 18th, 12.30 to 1.30pm
