Football fans were treated to an exclusive perspective of the UEFA Champions League Festival and #UltimateChampions match today thanks to a special behind-the-scenes mirror.

The mirror snapped shots of players and other stars at the event in London’s Olympic Park, Stratford. The pictures were then tweeted from the @ChampionsLeague Twitter account, using the hashtag #UCLFinal. Here’s a selection:

The stars were in town for the Ultimate Champions match which took place at the park today. Fans were invited to vote for their man of the match on Twitter by using the hashtag #UltimateChampions, with Robert Pires (@PiresRobert7) winning the popular vote. In another interesting use of the platform, fans of the game were also given the option to watch the match live through a Tweet:

Including a tweeting mirror at big events has already proved a popular trend for organisers this year, including at the Oscars, where photos of movie stars in front of the mirror were tweeted from the @TheAcademy Twitter account:

Behind-the-scenes shots are also proving a hit this week at the Roland Garros French Open (@RolandGarros), where a mirror captured pictures of stars including fourth seed Rafa Nadal (@RafaelNadal), Serena Williams (@SerenaWilliams) and Novak Djokovic (@DjokerNole).
