10 Cricket World Cups. 127 centuries by players from 12 different teams. Many a delightful innings has been played at the Cricket World Cup, and with 100 days to go for the event, excitement is brewing on Twitter.

@ICC and @CricketWorldCup launched the 100 Days to Go campaign with plenty of fun for fans on Twitter.

Twitter Voting for the 100 Greatest Moments of the Cricket World Cup

Always wanted to have a public say on your favourite Cricket World Cup moments? Well, here’s your chance to do that using Twitter.

The ICC has curated a list of the 100 Greatest Moments of the Cricket World Cup which will be tweeted out from @ICC one by one over the next 100 days. Each of the 100 moments will only be open for voting for a 24 hour period, so make sure to check in every day so you don’t miss your favourite ones.

To vote for the moment, just tweet with the unique hashtag. The first one was released today.

There’s sure to be plenty of great England moments from across the the ten editions of the tournament. Tune in to @ICC each day to see each moment be announced.

At the end of the 100 Days, the top 10 voted moments will be announced and a final vote will then take place over 24 hours on 2 March to crown the Greatest World Cup Moment from the first ten Cricket World Cups.

Make sure to track the unique hashtag and get behind your favourite moments. Let’s see which ones makes it!

@ICC and @CricketWorldCup have integrated the Twitter Video Card to bring 1 click play to fans on Twitter, so expect to enjoy plenty of cool video content leading up to the World Cup.

To drive interest in the events of the day, the Twitter Mirror, a celebrity photo experience, was deployed to give fans a sneak peek of whom to expect.

There was plenty of looping six second goodness as @CricketWorldCup brought the events to life from behind-the-scenes, including this one of 3 former World Cup winning captains from Australia (@CricketAus) Allan Border, Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting along with the present captain Michael Clarke (@mclarke23) signing for the Twitter Mirror.

Twitter Q&A

ICC also kicked off the 100 Days to Go campaign with a Twitter Q&A by former New Zealand (@blackcaps) captain Stephen Fleming (@SPFleming7) who had a great time answering everything from the toughest bowler he’s faced to his pick for the World Cup winners in 2015.
