11 creative wins on Twitter in June

June has been a great month for creative work on Twitter. It has been marked by big TV moments, major live events and product launches, as well as ground breaking campaigns and the start of Wimbledon.

Tweets from across the board have made a splash including those from the FMCG, retail, entertainment, travel, government and entertainment sectors.

  1. @DrinkRobinsons, @JaguarUK and @MitchumUK

    This week marks the start of Wimbledon, which has always proved to be a major opportunity for brands to connect with sports fans. Robinsons, Jaguar and Mitchum are among those Tweeting as the tournament gets underway with competitions, GIFs and video reflecting the raw emotion of @Wimbledon.



  2. @PostOffice

    The Post Office has been supporting its big summer #HolidayFeeling campaign on Twitter. As well as offering behind the scenes moments from its TV ad, featuring ‘Inbetweeners’ star Simon Bird, there’s been more video and the chance to win holiday prizes.

  3. Apple

    June saw the arrival of @AppleMusic. It created headlines around the world and made a huge impact on Twitter as Apple shared details of its new music offering.


  4. @CocaCola_GB

    A major new campaign from Coca-Cola Great Britain launched encouraging the nation to choose happiness. It’s the first campaign under Coca-Cola’s “one brand” strategy that puts choice at the core.


  5. @WarnerBrosUK

    For the launch of the anticipated ‘Entourage’ film, Warner Bros used a configurator card. It asked Twitter users to find out the Entourage character that they might be most like.

    For #FathersDay, Cadbury produced a touching stop-motion video that put a number of its chocolate bars to good use to celebrate the special day for dads.

    With summer arriving in the UK, @TescoFood used Twitter Video to share a quick, cool and healthy seasonal recipe.

  8. @UK_Esso

    Fuel retailer, Esso has been gearing up for its #MurrayYourTweet event on 4th July with Murray Walker. The brand is offering Twitter users the chance to have their Tweets read out by the legendary Formula One commentator.

  9. @innocent, @STATravel_UK, @Android and @Tesco

    June means Pride and this year the celebrations in the UK, and around the world, have been bigger than ever as they coincided with the US Supreme Court legalising gay marriage in all 50 states. Many brands have been celebrating Pride in the UK this year and Innocent, Tesco, Android and STA Travel are just a few.



  10. @GiveBloodNHS and #MissingType

    Over the last month, the blood service for England and Wales has been running a groundbreaking campaign that has seen hundreds of brands join in. They have all been removing the letters O and B from their Tweets as they lent their support to the effort to encourage more people to give blood.

    @GameOfThromes Season Five ended its run a couple of weeks ago in a dramatic finale that lit up Twitter. Fans rushed to share their thoughts about one of this year’s most talked-about TV moments and @skyatlantic perfectly summed up how many felt.
