Six seconds of creativity: A showcase for brands on Vine in March

By ‎@helenium‎

It’s been an emotional roller coaster of a month, from the not-as-brilliant-as-hoped solar eclipse to the heart-wrenching pain of One Direction losing Zayn to the nationwide St Patrick’s Day party. Vine has been there to hold our hands and lift our spirits.

Here’s a roundup of some creatively branded Vines that saw us through.

  1. Pepsi Max

Whilst the eclipse might have been a cloud-strewn disappointment to many, Pepsi Max (@PepsiMaxUK) ensured that at least our Twitter feeds were a solar spectacular.

  2. Three UK

For St Patrick’s Day, @ThreeUK created this addictive tap-to-stop Vine game challenging fans to pin the leaf on the clover. Really simple, and bonus points for emoji use.

  3. London Zoo

Otter-ly cute, this Vine from London Zoo (@zsllondonzoo) shows a wonderful moment in the otter enclosure. The Zoo does wonderful work with Vine, sharing hilarious and often awe-inspiring Vines from across the park (don’t miss the penguin Vines).

  4. BuzzFeed

Oh, Zayn. Last week @onedirection became a foursome as Zayn Malik (@zaynmalik) announced his departure from the band. A nation of Directioners flocked to Twitter to share their grief at the news. @BuzzFeed nodded to “American Beauty” with this rose petal brief in honour of the man himself.

  5. Cadburys

A great bit of stop-motion from Cadburys (@CadburyUK) this month as it asked fans to guess the Dairy Milk flavour featured in a Vine. It works brilliantly together: the soundtrack, the setting and the animation all giving clues (it was Turkish Dairy Milk).

  6. Waitrose

Looking forward to Easter, @waitrose kicked off a partnership with Great Ormond Street through a Vine that encouraged people to make Vines of their own using the hashtag #GoodEgg. During the campaign, the supermarket plans to post Tweets and Vines with Easter surprises, but more importantly, it will make a donation to Great Ormond Street (@greatormondst) on behalf of customers, and deliver Easter eggs to children at the hospital.
