Twitter users in the UK love a good video. In the past 12 months alone, video on Twitter has grown a massive 220x*. This year, we’ve seen brands embrace video on Twitter like never before, with some amazing, scroll-stopping imagery being brought to mobile screens all over the county.

From the great video campaigns we’ve seen over the five months, we’ve rounded up some stand-out examples of innovation and creativity from @Jaguar, @TaylorMadeTour, @VodafoneUK, and @TurkishAirlines.

  1. @Jaguar put the oh in 007 with Promoted Video

Everybody knows that the real star of any James Bond film is the car, right? The most recent Bond film “Spectre” was no exception as @Jaguar’s new C-X75 concept car took centre-stage. Conversation on Twitter reaches fever pitch around big movie releases and @Jaguar were quick to take advantage of the Bond buzz by rolling out a video series of the C-X75 in action. It offered behind the scenes footage from the film and much more. Find out more about how the brand drove thousands of engagements here.

  2. @TaylorMadeTour Amplified its Masters campaign

Golf brand TaylorMade (@TaylorMadeTour) teamed up with @SkySportsGolf in a Twitter Amplify partnership, which allowed it to connect directly with action from the Masters. @TaylorMadeTour was able to add branded pre-roll ads to key moments of near-live video content from the tournament, which were almost instantly shared on Twitter. Additionally, it created its own tip videos that it shared on Twitter. Read on to discover how it hit more than 1.4M video views.

  3. @VodafoneUK scores big with Twitter Amplify

Transfer Deadline Day is one of the biggest dates in the footballing calendar, and football fans in the UK flock to Twitter to chat about breaking news and big name signings. This year @VodafoneUK joined forces with @SkySportsNewsHQ in a Twitter Amplify partnership to promote its exclusive Sky Sports Mobile TV offer to a legion of sports fans. As well as running pre-roll content, @VodafoneUK created its own original videos. Read more about how @Vodafone achieved 22M video impressions here.

  4. @TurkishAirlines take to the skies with Periscope

Is it a bird? No, it’s a plane! A @TurkishAirlines plane to be precise. Earlier this year, the airline treated budding aviators to experience a trip to New York with Periscope. From the comfort of their own home, viewers were able to catch a glimpse of what goes on behind-the-scenes in a live broadcast from a transatlantic flight. More than 25K people tuned in to watch the crew in action in the air and on the ground - with the crew rounding up the broadcast with a tour of Times Square. Read more about it here.
