Game of Thrones returns to British TV screens tonight as Season Six of the show gets underway. There have been a huge number of Tweets in the last week as fans counted down the days until the start of the new series.

In the UK tonight, Game of Thrones airs on @skyatlantic, which has been running a Promoted Trend on Twitter to celebrate. There have been Periscopes, polls, GIFs and a special Sky News weather update from Westeros.
