Sky launches Sky Q campaign with a Promoted Moment

Friday, 12 February 2016

Moments offers a powerful canvas for storytelling on Twitter, and Promoted Moments extends that opportunity to brands. We saw @Tesco recently delight Twitter users with its #FeelGoodCookbook, and today @SkyUK launches #FutureIsNow as part of the Sky Q launch campaign.

Through this Promoted Moment, showcasing futuristic scenes using rich imagery and video, Sky takes Twitter users on a creative journey that predicts the future of technology and introduces viewers to its new home entertainment system, Sky Q.

Dubbed, “Fluid Viewing” by Sky, Sky Q offers a way of watching TV that allows Sky customers to stream recordings throughout their home, pause in one room and continue watching in another.

Twitter’s Promoted Moment is the ideal place for telling a brand story and creating an engaging conversation.

Sky is also supporting its Promoted Moment today with a Promoted Trend that aims to introduce #SkyQ to a wider audience and drive awareness of the new TV service. The creative idea was developed and produced by Sky’s creative agency @SapientNitroUK.

Stephen van Rooyen, Chief Marketing, Sales & Digital Officer, at @SkyUK, said: “Twitter’s Promoted Moment is the ideal place for telling a brand story and creating an engaging conversation. It allowed us to move beyond just advertising and to build an intriguing narrative around the future of technology and re-confirm to Sky’s audience just how advanced our next-generation home entertainment system Sky Q is.”
