Xbox backs launch of "Quantum Break" with Promoted Moment

Tuesday, 5 April 2016

Moments offers a powerful canvas for storytelling on Twitter, and Promoted Moments extends that opportunity to brands. We have already seen some great examples. Today we’re seeing another great use of Promoted Moments to mark the launch of the new Xbox exclusive “Quantum Break”, the latest title in the “greatest games line-up in Xbox history”.

With time-amplified action and a suspenseful storyline brought to life in a way never done before in the gaming world, @xboxuk will use Promoted Moments to deliver a compelling narrative experience that puts users inside the third-person shooter game.

Jon Edney, senior category manager, Xbox & Quantum Break UK lead, says: “The Promoted Moment is a perfect fit for a high-quality narrative title such as Quantum Break, since it’s such a great storytelling format. The power and flexibility of the tool have made it the ideal way for Xbox to engage with fans old and new.”

Further to the Promoted Moment activation, @XboxUK is allowing users to experience a part of the game within Twitter. Using our Conversational Ad format users can choose their own adventure by interacting with Tweets. It allows users to explore the Quantum Break narrative whilst harnessing the time powers you receive in the title.

The creative idea for the @xboxuk Quantum Break Promoted Moment was developed with in conjunction with EMT, part of Dentsu Aegis (@dentsuaegis), and Assembly Inc., part of Edelman (@EdelmanUK).

The Xbox UK Promoted Moment joins other great examples that have recently run on Twitter in the UK. We’ve seen @Tesco delight Twitter users with its #FeelGoodCookbook (watch it here), and @SkyUK launch the #FutureIsNow as part of its Sky Q launch campaign.

Promoted Moments are featured within Moments on Twitter, and are combined with a Promoted Trend to offer brands the chance to achieve maximum impact over a 24-hour period. Speak to your Twitter Account team today to find out more.
