From ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to beauty and the feast: 7 creative wins

Get ready to feel all warm and cuddly guys, it’s our February creative round-up, which means Valentine’s Day campaigns. This year brands like @DisneyUK, @Selfridges and @DoveMen gave us all the feels with their fun and interactive Valentine’s creativity.

Staying with the red-hued theme, February also saw even more fabulousness from the red carpet. We saw amazing awards season content throughout the month as the #Oscars, #Baftas and #Brits rolled into town and onto Twitter.

This month we have top-notch uses of Periscope, Conversational Video, some super creative hashtags and a healthy smattering of hearts along the way. Ready to feel inspired? Right, let’s go!

@London_Pride

This month we saw beer brewer @LondonPride include two of the things that make London famous - rain and beer - in its brilliant #WhenItRainsItPours campaign. On a wet and miserable Saturday in February, the brand set out to give people on Twitter something to smile about setting up live Periscope stream live from London. By Tweeting the beer emoji, people on Twitter could pick up a free rainy-day pint. Cheers @LondonPride!

@Specsavers

Here at Twitter UK, we’re always chuffed to see a brand pull off a great in-the-moment LOL with a nicely-timed piece of relevant content.@Specsavers knocked it out of the park on Oscar night with this fantastic Tweet reacting to the blunderous Best Picture debacle. An on-brand gag as well! Specsavers, we applaud you.

@EE

Keeping with awards season, every year, mobile network @EE brings the lucky folks on Twitter behind the scenes at the Baftas with its fantastic live from the red carpet action. This year was no different with the brand bringing us the latest looks from our favourite celebrities - hello there Eddie Redmayne - as well as exclusive interviews and footage from the #Bafta winners. Great stuff for the fans following along at home.

@Disney_uk

Disney is always great on Twitter, and with the new live-action version of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to promote, the brand really outdid itself with this fantastic and interactive creative. Movie fans were invited to tag their loved ones to get a personalised @handle invitation to watch Beauty and the Beast on Valentine’s Day. They also got a chance to see the beautiful trailer for the film. We love seeing a love story play out - especially if it’s on Twitter.

@Selfridges

This might be one of my favourite campaigns from February. Selfridges brought interactivity and some very vibrant colours to its Valentine’s Day campaign this year with a fun Conversational Video. People on Twitter could let their followers know who they’d be cracking out the bubbly with on their #DateNight or #MateNight with by tagging their friends.

@DoveMen

This is such a nifty use of a gif.@DoveMen jumped in on all the love conversation happening on Twitter on the 14th by making the unlikely pairing of Valentine’s Day and Rugby. We loved it.

@Dominos_UK

Let’s face it, everybody loves a good pizza. You know this and @dominos certainly knows it too. And what a better way to show the humble pizza some love than to celebrate its history in a Twitter moment. We loved this campaign as it took us to Naples to discover the origins of the most doughliciousdelight this #NationalPizzaDay. As well as including a stunning animated creative, the brand also managed to sneak in a handy discount codeintothe moment to allow hungry Twitter users to treat themselves to a slice.
