Twitter is what’s happening and what people are talking about right now. Unlike other platforms Twitter is much more about exploring the world around us and pointing people to great content. Sometimes it’s a story that moves us or makes us laugh, and at other times it is a major breaking news story of national or international importance.
When such a story does happen people choose to Tweet about it first because they know that will be the fastest way to show what’s happening.
Part of the reason for this is that the audience on Twitter is hugely influential and is in a Discovery Mindset. A Discovery Mindset means that people on Twitter are more attentive, more responsive and more trusting of the content they see. They are also looking for great stories and content.
From #OneLoveManchester to #LoveIsland and moments of humour shared globally, to sporting triumphs, and the twists and turns of #GE2017. At the halfway mark of 2017, these are just a few of the moments that have caught our attention on Twitter. There have been so many more.
