If there is any Bollywood movie that brings the entire nation and its many generations together, it would be the 1995 Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) and Kajol (@KajolAtUN) starrer, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ). This week, the iconic film completes 20 years and it celebrates its birthday on Twitter with fans from across the country. @DDLJ activated Twitter’s birthday feature on 20 October, and users were greeted with an animation of colourful balloons when they logged onto the page.

Twitter presented the perfect window to all the excitement around this moment. It lit up with Tweets about love and romance, and encouraged users to go back in time and share their memories of the film. @DDLJ also Tweeted old photos and dialogues from the film to keep the conversations rolling.
