Fans should follow @FIFAWorldCup, the official Twitter account for updates provided by the Official Site of the FIFA World Cup. Here you will find match coverage, behind-the-scenes video and photos from Russia, and access to players throughout the #WorldCup. Fans around the globe can also stay close to the news and information from FIFA in a variety of other languages by following @fifaworldcup_es, @fifaworldcup_de, @fifaworldcup_fr, @fifaworldcup_ar and @fifaworldcup_pt on Twitter.
#WorldCup Emojis
Fans around the world can Tweet with hashtags in seven languages -- English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic and Portuguese -- to trigger special #WorldCup emojis throughout the tournament. You can add color to Tweets by using #WorldCup this summer.
Each team will also get their own country-specific emoji as well. Use a hashtag in front of the relevant three-letter country code, and that country’s flag will appear after the text.
Matchday Programs
@FIFAWorldCup will bring the matchday experience to your timelines by creating Twitter Moments for each match of the #WorldCup. Each Twitter Moment will act as a digital ‘matchday program’ for users to consume the top match content on the platform.

You can keep up with every shot, save, and goal on Twitter with our dedicated World Cup page and individual pages for every game, including scores, Tweets, videos, and Moments. You can find these pages at the top of your timeline, in search, or in Explore! Searching for “World Cup” brings you to relevant scores, Tweets and videos about the latest games.
FIFA World Cup Happening in Southeast Asia on Twitter
Indonesia
Twitter announced a collaboration with PT Futbal Momentum Asia (FMA) for 2018 FIFA World Cup, to feature near-live video highlights of the biggest moments throughout the tournament on Twitter. Twitter has always been the place to discover and catch up on what’s happening in the sports world, and this partnership will enable football fans across Indonesia to stay updated on the latest action in real time from Russia. Twitter is the first social media platform in Indonesia to collaborate with FMA for 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Indonesian fans can watch the near real-time video highlights of each game, with every goal scored, interviews with players and coaches, and official press conference clips, all available on the @FMA Twitter account. The video clips on Twitter will include pre-roll advertising packages, available for content sponsors.
Malaysia
Twitter and Astro recently announced a major collaboration for the 2018 FIFA World Cup where Astro will produce a live show streamed exclusively on Twitter from Moscow each match day (23 shows, in total). The Twitter live show will provide match action previews, recaps and Twitter reaction as well as original segments produced by Astro’s team in Moscow. The live coverage will be available in Malaysia to Twitter’s logged-in and logged-out audience and can be viewed via @stadiumastro on computers, tablets and mobile devices.
Astro also will provide near real-time video highlights to Twitter for each game, including every goal scored, as well as video featuring talent Q&As, player and coach interviews, and press conference clips. Both the live show and video clips will include advertising packages on Twitter available for sponsors.
Philippines
To keep fans in the Philippines on top of everything World Cup, @abscbnsports will provide near real-time video highlights to fans on Twitter for each game, including the best and most important goals, as well as video featuring player and coach interviews, press conference clips, and more. The video clips will include advertising packages on Twitter available for sponsors.
