#MYXMusicAwards2019 red carpet event to be live streamed on Twitter

Fresh from last year's success, Twitter and ABS-CBN's MYX Philippines partner once again to honor the biggest hitmakers in the country through the most-awaited #MYXMusicAwards2019. Fans can tune in to Twitter as @MYXphilippines will be having a live stream of the red carpet event on May 15 at the ABS-CBN Vertis North Tent.

Last year was a huge feat for us at Twitter because MYX Music Awards 2018 was the first-ever live stream red carpet music event in Southeast Asia. It was also well-received, so we are proud that Twitter served the fans in the most interactive and exciting way possible. 

The exclusive Twitter emoji, now in blue, is also making a comeback to make the conversation fun and engaging. Tweeps can rally support for their favorite nominees and the event and using the hashtags #MYXMusicAwards2019 and #MMAs2019.

As one of the most followed local accounts on Twitter, it is only fitting for MYX Philippines to spread the word using the platform where fandoms are actively present. Last year’s Twitter live stream garnered more than 77K total views, enabling the fans to support their favorites real-time.

Award season or not, Twitter has helped the fans always to stay in the loop with #WhatsHappening in the music scene, especially with their favorite artists. Interestingly, fans nowadays don’t just ride into the conversation, they create it and spark new trending topics which help the artists in spreading their craft and gain more following.

Now on its 14th year, MYX Music Awards commends outstanding local music and entertainment artists in the country. The voting scheme is divided into two: public votes (60%) and votes from fellow artists (40%). Fans can vote for their chosen nominees until May 12 by logging on to www.myxph.com.
