The year on Twitter reflected the truly unprecedented experience that was 2020. Amidst all of the challenges and difficulties, Singapore’s young musicians continued to pursue their passions.

The Youth Music Awards 2021 (YMA 2021) are organised by *SCAPE and supported by Bandwagon, to celebrate the best of Singaporean music created by homegrown youth musicians under the age of 35. This year, Twitter is the exclusive social media platform of choice for YMA voting and will help fans to recognise their favourite young Singaporean musicians who have continued to create, despite the challenges brought about by COVID-19.

Voting for the YMAs began on 9 March and will close at 11:59 p.m. SGT on 22 March. Fans who want to vote for the YMAs can vote via Like or Retweet on the corresponding Twitter card of the artist they want to support. All 80 of the artists competing at the YMAs have their own Twitter card to select from. Artist Twitter cards are also collected into 16 Twitter Moments from @BandwagonAsia, one for each category that the YMAs is recognising. The only other place that fans can cast their vote is on the YMA website.

Fans can also watch the YMA 2021 awards ceremony on 31 March 2021, starting at 7 p.m. The livestream will be available on Twitter via @BandwagonAsia. The awards show will be hosted by actress Munah Bagharib, and will also feature exciting performances from artists including RRILEY (@rriley), Forests (@wearenotforests), KEYANA (@heykeyana) and more.

Singaporeans will also be able to support YMA 2021 with a special emoji that will be available during the month of March using the following hashtags: #YMA21, #YMA, #YouthMusicAwards, #SGmusic, and #Hear65
