#FridayforGood: Get out and do

For those of us who pass by shelters, schools, senior centers and other community organizations daily without really understanding their reach or impact, a day devoted to working side by side is a wonderful way to build lasting relationships and deeper engagement with these worthy groups. That day for us is #FridayforGood.

Here’s how our most recent day of community service, which took place November 1, looked from a number of perspectives:

  • Helped run a pajama drive for children at Ronald McDonald House (@RMHnewyork).

  • Sorted a plethora of cradle donations at Cradles to Crayons (@C2Cboston), which supports homeless and low-income children with everyday essentials.

  • Boxed 4,800 pounds of pasta at @NWHarvest, a hunger relief agency.
