Put your best Tweets forward to #GetMoreFollowers

First impressions matter. When someone first sees your account it’s important to help them know right away what it’s all about.

Here are three things you need to do to make a lasting first impression.

  1. Post a great profile photo
  2. Write an enticing description of yourself
  3. Tweet photos and Vine videos (that will show up in your media gallery)

But, what about all the people who would follow you, if they only knew how awesome your account was? And what if you could then turn all the data from each Tweet into a video which gives you something to explain to your audience why they should follow you?

That’s the idea behind #FollowMe, which we launched recently with Vizify and allows you to make an instant video to showcase the best things about your Twitter feed—all set to music. Vizify does the hard work—collating the data showing interactions, Vines, and tweets in a single clip.

But it’s not just for individuals: TV shows, record companies, and sports clubs have taken to #FollowMe to produce videos which explain exactly who they are and what they can offer potential followers. Just take a look at some of these early adopters to see how they’ve created films that market their content and their brand.

Here are some top tips for getting it right:

  1. Make this the external link in your Twitter profile - it’s something that can be shared.
  2. Edit your examples, change the music, and select the Tweets and photos. The final result will be even more compelling.
  3. You don’t just have to make one: re-do it every six months or so as your content evolves and the videos will get better and better.
