Countdown to #SB48 Sunday

Thursday, 30 January 2014

Are you #UnitedInOrange for the Denver @Broncos or a member of the Seattle @Seahawks#12thman? Or maybe the @BrunoMars halftime performance and the commercials are your most anticipated part of the @Superbowl on @NFLonFOX. Whatever you like best, you’ll have unprecedented access on Twitter.

What with the dramatic action on the field, superstar performances, buzzworthy commercials, and millions of passionate fans, the @SuperBowl is one of the biggest events to play out on Twitter. Last year, we saw more than 24.1 million Tweets during #SB47, which was the most volume of tweets for a one day sporting event in 2013.

To get started, you’ll want to follow your favorite players and the team you’re rooting for: here’s the @Broncos roster and the @Seahawks team list.

As the days count down until #SB48, the teams, together with the @NFL, @SuperBowl and @NFLonFOX have brought fans along for the ride on Twitter:

Players have also had nearly two weeks to tweet out exclusive pictures, videos and thoughts for their fans on Twitter:

Both teams participated in the annual @NFL#SBMediaDay on Tuesday:

A Twitter Mirror on set allowed the @nflnetwork to showcase real-time behind-the-scenes tweets from celebrity guests throughout the week:

Fans of course, including some celebrities and athletes, joined in on the conversation, too:

@BrunoMars and @pepsi are gearing up for the #SB48 halftime show:

Come Sunday, turn to Twitter for all things #SB48. Also make sure to vote for you favorite commercial through the Twitter #AdScrimmage. And come back here after the game to view data and top tweets from the @NFL’s biggest stage.
