The elite clubs of Europe come together once more as the @ChampionsLeague recommences today with the 2014-15 group stages. As fans have come to expect, the action will play out on Twitter.

The Champions League has a history of innovation on Twitter. In the 2013 final, Tweets on the big screens at @WembleyStadium showcased the triumph of @FCBayern after their all-German final against Borussia Dortmund (@BVB). In this year’s all-Spanish championship game against Atletico Madrid (@Atleti), several players from @RealMadrid shared celebratory Tweets:

While we don’t know which two teams will meet in the 2015 final in Berlin, Germany, we do know fans will be able to follow all the action along the way on Twitter, where 31 of the 32 teams in the group stage have official accounts.

Find and follow #UCL teams here.

Among them are the two most-followed sports teams in the world on Twitter – defending champions @RealMadrid and 2011 winners @FCBarcelona.
