Bringing #CES2017 straight to you, live from Vegas

When CES (aka the Consumer Electronics Show) rolls around every year in early January, it’s an event of epic proportions with close to 200,000 people flocking to Las Vegas to experience the event firsthand.

And why not? Tech is now a pervasive part of our everyday, increasingly mobile lives. The mobiles we carry bring us music, news, and sports, and connect us to the world around us, in many cases, live and in the moment. Increasingly, the world around us runs on tech, too, from smart homes with smart devices to the cars we drive (or that drive us). Needless to say, the tech at CES is relevant to our daily lives now more than ever.

Here’s what we’ll be bringing you live from #CES2017.

Live daily tech news from #CES2017 in partnership with The Verge

If you’re not attending (or if you are and can’t possibly tour the nearly 2.5 million net square feet of exhibit space), join The Verge live on Twitter for a tech-packed 90-minute show on Jan. 4, 5, and 6 at 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET.

Tune in to the show in 360 video

With Periscope’s 360 video news last week, the live experience will feel even more real as you teleport into unique experiences live from the CES floor. You can expect some exciting views and broadcasts from around the globe with live music, art, and some far-flung destinations that will bring this new 360 view to life.

Industry perspectives from influencers and celebrities

During the event, we’ll be talking to influencers and celebs from the sports, tech, advertising, and music industries, including four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Joe Montana and hip hop star/entrepreneur Rick Ross. They’ll be sharing some of their favorite finds from CES and discussing how the intersection of tech is changing their industries and lives.

Storytime with Twitter

Join Twitter’s CMO Leslie Berland on Jan. 6 from 2:15-2:45pm PT, streaming live from the ARIA Ballroom, for her C Space Storyteller segment where she’ll discuss ways that Twitter is telling its own unique story and how tapping into “what’s happening” pushes the boundaries of conventional storytelling.

Tune in to Twitter’s Head of Planning and Creative Agency Development Stacy Minero’s talk at CES as part of Variety’s Entertainment Summit. The topic? Love at First Sight on Social with new research and best practices from brands for creating “love at first sight” in social feeds.
