Tonight sees the biggest night in the UK music calendar as the world’s eyes focus on the O2 Arena for the 2015 BRIT Awards (@BRITAwards). And for the second year running, Twitter will bring you closer to the excitement, and even let you decide on the outcome with the exclusive ‘social vote’ on Twitter.

During tonight’s live show, hosts Ant & Dec (@antanddec) will unveil the results of the exclusive Twitter poll for the Best British Video award live on stage in front of thousands of guests and a television audience at home.

The social vote, based solely on Tweets, debuted at the BRITs in 2014. In 2015 organisers have taken it to a whole new level by starting the vote in January. So far there have been more than 11 million Tweets with the hashtags:

The vote kicked off with ten nominees, and each week the act with the least votes exited the competition. Five acts remain, and tonight Twitter users will be able to cast their final votes when the hashtags are revealed at 8pm. The acts still in the running are:

In 2014, the BRIT Awards were the 10th most-Tweeted-about moment of the year in the UK, and one of only two non-sporting highlights in the top ten.
