Since the launch of Niche in EMEA back in 2015, the Twitter Team at Niche has built a thriving community of digital creators. These creators are placed on brand campaigns that both help the creators monetise their channels, and the brands reach their audiences with authenticity.
Creator Day #CD2018 is an annual event that brings the digital community together, helping them to continue building their channels and connecting them in a meaningful way.
‘Since starting this event, we have seen the role digital creators play in society evolve. In 2017 we saw the traditional worlds of brands, entertainment, publishing, music, fashion and film all affected by the rise of the digital creator. This event will focus on the exciting role that creators are playing in shaping trends, brand campaigns and culture,’ says Jo Burford, EMEA Community Manager.
Inventor and tech maverick LJ Rich will begin the day with a session exploring The Creative Mind, followed by a panel looking back at what Christine Sydelko, Roman Kemp, Munroe Bergdorf feel were the Biggest Moments of 2017 moderated by Alice Beverton-Palmer, Twitter Entertainment. James Glynn, Twitter Moments, will be joined by Tom Harlock and journalists Mollie Goodfellow and Justin Myers to uncover Fantastic Tweets and Where to Find Them. The afternoon moves to practical guide on How to Grow and Nurture your social channel featuring established creators, Em Ford, Joe Tasker and Carly Rowena. The day will end with a discussion on The New Normal with champions for change, Riyadh Khalaf, Felicity Hayward and Jana Vlogs.
Kristen Lachtman, Global Head of Niche, says: 'Niche was founded on the #CreatorFirst principle, which informs how we think about partnering with creators and brands. We are a technology backed team at Twitter, and we work with content creators and storytellers who can create a personal connection with millions of followers. We never price by, nor do we guarantee metrics like engagements, impressions etc, because we are focused on partnering brands with authentic creators who create content that is resonant, therefore moving the needle. We do not pass our communications with creators through a platform, all creator communication is handled personally by our fully staffed Content Strategy and Community teams. We continue to innovate our own proprietary technology to solve current landscape issues - most recently by working on an internal facing algorithm which points us towards creators with growing and highly engaged fan bases.'
