quarta-feira, 9 julho 2014

It’s time to decide the winner of one of the most competitive World Cup tournaments in recent memory and you’ll be one of the main participants in this historic moment.

Starting on Wednesday July 9th and continuing through Saturday, July 12th you’ll be able to cast your vote on Twitter to pick the colors that will light up one of Brazil’s most iconic landmarks, Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue.

Cast your Twitter vote by using the hashtag #ArmsWideOpen, combined with the hashflag or name of one of the two World Cup finalists.

Cast your Twitter vote with the hashtag #ArmsWideOpen and the hashflag of one of the two World Cup finalists.

The number of votes that each World Cup finalist receives from around the world will determine how long Christ the Redeemer will appear illuminated in that team’s colors.

Lighting that reveals the voting results will appear on the monument on Saturday, July 12th, between 7pm and 9pm (local time), the eve of the World Cup Final. And you’ll be able to watch the lighting change as votes come in on Twitter in real time.

This great initiative comes thanks to the support of the Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro, which manages the iconic monument. So don’t miss your chance and make sure to cast your vote!
