#FridayforGood: Get out and do

For those of us who pass by shelters, schools, senior centers and other community organizations daily without really understanding their reach or impact, a day devoted to working side by side is a wonderful way to build lasting relationships and deeper engagement with these worthy groups. Celebrating @TechWomen

More than 300 friends and fans of the U.S. State Department’s TechWomen program gathered at Twitter HQ this week to celebrate the community of women technical leaders from all over the globe, and to share their experiences with those hoping to learn more.

Community-building, one book at a time

As a @onecityonebook sponsor, we were thrilled to host @boingboing editor and award-winning author Cory Doctorow (@doctorow) to read from this year’s selection: his popular young adult novel Little Brother.

Donated laptops for good

Giving laptops to students in need helps them succeed in school, while gaining independence and curiosity.

Hunger Action Month
